Former sub-editor quicksteps into Maxim

November, 2013

A ballroom dancing enthusiast aims to keep things strictly professional as she joins the Maxim team.

Erica Jones (left), 33, becomes a Senior Account Executive at the Tunbridge Wells PR and marketing firm after more than 12 years in the media.

Starting her career on a national Welsh magazine, Erica soon moved into the world of local newspapers to learn the art of sub-editing.

Working in a number of busy newsrooms, she developed a keen interest in accuracy and efficiency while ensuring the news of the day appealed to a broad readership.

Erica said: “I’ve always respected Maxim, both as individuals and for the work they do, and so I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to work for them and adapt my journalistic skills in my new career.”

Commenting on their new recruit, Maxim’s Philip Jones said: “Erica’s extensive media experience, enthusiasm and eye for detail make her a valuable addition to our team, helping us to offer the best possible service to our clients.”

As well as dancing, Erica is passionate about bookshops, travelling the country to visit them whenever her cat will allow. She is also a regular supporter of Invicta Dynamos, Kent’s ice hockey team.
