Royal visit to Kent Science Park

On this day: 26 April 2005

The scientific endeavours of the companies at Kent Science Park, near Sittingbourne, were given the royal seal of approval when the Duke of Kent visited to formally open the site’s Conference Centre – with Maxim responsible for managing the press on the day.

The new centre was made possible by funding from the Gateway Knowledge Alliance, Kent Science Park, and the expertise of the Sittingbourne Enterprise Hub.

Today, Kent Science Park remains a key part of Kent’s economic landscape and major employment site with ambitions to expand under its owners, Pioneer Group.
